Kappa doesn’t charge a per-transaction fee. There are processing fees from our bank partners and a small surcharge added to the daily exchange rate to cover our own costs. This will typically result in fees as low as 0% for local transfers, and approximately 2.5% for cross-border transfers. All fees are displayed to you before making a transaction. Kappa is committed to 100% transparency.
You can connect one or multiple bank accounts to your Kappa wallet (called “linked accounts”) or make a cash deposit at one of our partner locations.
In the future you will be able to link up other payment methods including mobile money, credit cards, debit cards, and other types of accounts.
Adding money to your Kappa wallet is free of charge for all payment methods.
You can withdraw money to any of your linked accounts. We currently support bank accounts and will support mobile money accounts in the near future.

Yes, it’s possible to have multiple accounts. For instance, you may have more than one business or wish to keep your personal and professional transactions separate. While you can have multiple business accounts, you can only have one personal account. You can manage all of your accounts from a single log-in.
You can make as many transactions as you wish as long as you haven’t exceeded your daily transfer limit.
The amount of money you can send or receive depends on your transaction history with Kappa. The more money you send, the more your limit will grow over time. Once you have access to Kappa, you can check your current limits in the app.
